Turning AI into practical value for nonprofits

I work at the intersection of nonprofit leadership, artificial intelligence, grant intelligence, and digital visibility.

My focus is practical: helping nonprofit organizations move beyond isolated AI experiments and use technology in ways that improve how they work, identify funding opportunities, manage knowledge, and strengthen their visibility across search and AI platforms.

I approach AI from inside the nonprofit sector. That means understanding the realities behind the technology: limited resources, small teams, donor requirements, complex projects, sensitive information, and the need to demonstrate measurable impact.

For me, successful AI adoption is not about adding more tools. It is about building better systems.

My areas of focus

AI Transformation

I help nonprofit leaders understand where AI can create real organizational value and how to introduce it responsibly.

My work explores AI readiness, use-case identification, organizational adoption, governance, workflow redesign, internal capability building, and the transition from individual experimentation to repeatable organizational processes.

The goal is not simply to teach people how to use AI. It is to help organizations develop the capacity to use it well.

Grant Intelligence

Funding decisions require far more than writing a proposal.

I explore how AI can support the entire grant intelligence process, from discovering relevant opportunities and researching donors to eligibility analysis, opportunity scoring, partner research, GO and NO-GO decisions, and institutional grant knowledge.

The aim is to help nonprofit teams spend less time pursuing poorly matched opportunities and make better-informed funding decisions.

AI SEO and GEO

The way organizations are discovered is changing.

People increasingly use ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI experiences, and other generative systems alongside traditional search engines.

My work in AI SEO and Generative Engine Optimization focuses on helping organizations become easier to find, understand, trust, cite, and recommend across both traditional search and AI-powered discovery.

This includes SEO, AI search visibility, entity authority, structured information, content strategy, and the signals that help search engines and generative systems understand an organization and its expertise.

A practitioner-first approach

My background combines nonprofit management, grant and program development, digital strategy, SEO, and hands-on experimentation with emerging AI technologies.

That combination shapes how I approach digital transformation.

I am particularly interested in the space between strategy and implementation: taking an idea that looks promising in an AI demonstration and determining whether it can become a useful, responsible, and sustainable part of an organization's everyday work.

I research, test, document, and teach what works, and just as importantly, where AI still requires human judgment.

What I write about

On this site, I share practical analysis, frameworks, experiments, and guides around three core themes.

AI Transformation. Building organizational capability around AI.

Grant Intelligence. Using AI to make better funding and partnership decisions.

AI SEO and GEO. Building visibility and authority across search engines and generative AI platforms.

My aim is to make complex AI developments useful for nonprofit leaders and teams without unnecessary technical jargon or hype.

Who this is for

My work is primarily intended for:

  • nonprofit and NGO leaders
  • foundations and civil society organizations
  • fundraising and grant teams
  • communications and digital teams
  • program managers
  • organizations beginning or scaling their AI adoption

Whether an organization is exploring AI for the first time or trying to move beyond disconnected experiments, the central question remains the same:

How can we use AI to strengthen the organization without losing the human judgment, trust, and mission that make its work valuable?

That is the question behind my work.

In one sentence

I help nonprofit organizations turn AI into measurable value through organizational transformation, smarter grant intelligence, and stronger visibility across search and AI platforms.
